Ranger Powers

In Japan a rangers powers are never destroyed...however in the united states they seem to end with the conclution of eather the season or the teamup episode. They can be reserected like in forever red but other than that the only time we see them is when they are reviewing the past. do you think that the way japan does it with the powers never dieing is better? This can be seen in Gaorangers vs. super sentai. "Translation - Wildforce meets Power Rangers"

im not sure. I don't think i'd have them keeping the powers forever but maybe for a short amount of time.

in this episode for those that havent seen it the gaorangers team up with these rangers to fight.

You have "Big One" from JAKQ
"Super Pink" from Megaranger (Space)
"Giga Blue" from Gigaranger (Lost Galaxie)
"Red Falcon" from LiveMen
and "Go Yellow" from GoGo V (Lightspeed Resque)

These 5 apeared unmorphed and with their morphers on their wrist the entire time. At the end of corse all 24 previous red rangers apeared (counting red falcon).

Corrections online:
It´s not 'Super Pink' it´s MegaPink (or Mega Pink, lol)
and for Forever Red, it´s only a special for the 10 years of PR and it´s out of continuity, that´s why they have powers (in theory, only TJ really lost his Turbo powers)

Gaoranger vs Super Sentai (there´s no translation to PR version) it´s a teamup special for the 25 birthday of Super Sentai (can you tell the difference? 25 years to 10 years?) and instead of making a teamup with the Timeranger (the previous series) they made with a specially selected members of older sentais, but the real old members there are Big One (he´s a member of JAQK, the second sentai which aired in 1977) and Red Falcon (member of the super sentai Liveman from 1988), the other three are newer ones, MegaPink (Megaranger - 1997), GingaBlue (Gingaman - 1998) and GoYellow (GoGoV - 1999) which represents the Super Sentai team, and the 24 Red rangers and their respective mechas made a special appearance in the finale

Now, finally on topic, lol
I think it should be like sentai, because this allow the producers to make special appearances like Gao vs SS, I just hated my favourite season Ninja Storm losing their powers after the awesome comeback with the Dino rangers

ok as far as what you said i was simply putting it in terms that some would understand...not everyone is as familure with the SS titles. as for the pink ranger that was an honest mistake i was going by what was subed in. i understand the rest of what you said. i was only commenting. but as far as the on topic i agree with you.

and to see the dino team get screwed like they did was totally wrong.

Zero are they planing a big teamup for buko like they did for gao?

No problem, I understand you´re not familiar with the sentai terms and I hope you don´t get me wrong for correcting those (not everyone likes correcting what they said, lol), but I´ll gladly correct anything I know it´s wrong

As for your question, I´d love to say yes, because I really hope they do it again this year but I don´t have any information on it yet but as soon as I get it I´ll put it right away on the Boukenger´s thread
The only thing I have sure is they are planning something big for the 30 birthday of Super Sentai, because in the end of each Boukenger episode, after the ending song they talk a little about each Sentai series, starting in the ep 4 and now they are currently in the 8 sentai, so they´ll reach the 29 one about ep 33 and there I expect good news about the teamup, but now the speculation are on the Sixth boukenger and his mechas and also in the GouGou Jet which is supposed to be the tenth GouGou Vehicle

well from all the stuff ive seen the jet is number 10 but how it will be used i dont know.


on topic...is there any good points to certain seasons loosing their powers. I know Lightspeed, Timeforce, Wildforce, and SPD still could access their powers as well as turbo (these powers were never destroyed in the show) do you think we could see a 15 year episode that fetures these like SS did for their 25th?

The Turbo powers were destroyed, the Space rangers powers are available too, so are the Lost Galaxy powers (the sabers in the rock in Mirinoi) and plus those you listed, Zeo I believe weren´t lost, but upgraded into Turbo, so this doesn´t make a total lost of the Zeo powers, and I believe the MM Ninja Coins were destroyed too, but I don´t know about the Dino coins, I´m only sure Jason, Zack and Trini have their respective powers because their coins weren´t given but they were duplicated so I don´t really know what happened to the Dino coins, it makes (maybe MM) Turbo, Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder without powers I guess, but I hope they make a cool special like Gao vs SS next year, even if it´s out of continuity like Forever Red

For Boukenger, the GouGou Jet will be represented in the Accellular by the number 0, is a theory of mine but I believe the Jet is some kind of prototype of the former GouGou Vehicles, and it being represented by the number 0 gives a extra boost to my theory
