as i look back at episodes from season one i have to laugh. the editing was horible, the fact they used a girl in a guys suit is funny. rita didnt match lips to words, if you didnt see the first handfull of episodes you seemed to not realize some of the things going on. I mean looking back it is to laugh at how obsessed we were with the first season.

They so should have added a skirt to Trini's suite but yet she was kinda tomboyish to begin with so it worked out but I agree and Ehh hate when Words don't go with the lip's it's like lip reading only the lips are moving and words are being mouthed from the script. like you can't really understand what the actor of Actoress is saying Jacki Chan movies do that well some of em anyways.

I think because I was so young, I didnt realize how campy and bad the show was. Although, with Power Ranger Generations running the earlier episodes every morning, I dont really laugh, but still feel nostalgic. It wasn't really all that bad. IMO

agreed DC alot is nostalgic but still i laugh at how bad the editing was then. (but also they used Rita straight from japan...I guess thats what stands out so much)

I didn't like it at first to tell you the truth. But once I saw Green with Evil. I started to really enjoy the series. The idea of Tommy the Evil Green Ranger was great. Then him joining the team was even better. As the season started to progress, I got more and more into it. I've got to say if I hadn't seen Green with Evil I probably would have dropped seeing it. But after I saw that it became one of my favorites.
And was it just me or did Goldar's voice change a lot during the season. First it started strong and threatening then it went to kind of I don't know goofy?

its not a big deal but i do know that the voice changes may have to do with going from basic voice overs to accually using the actors to voice themselves...season 2 on lips matched words.

I think the same guy voiced Goldar for MMPR-PRIS, but he used a different voice at first. I think somebody thought his other voice was better, so he stopped using the first voice (that you hear in Day of the Dumpster for example) and used the voice we all think of when we think of Goldar.
Speaking of which, is it just me, or did Goldar not seem as elite when the Rangers changed Zords? I remember thinking for MMPR1 "Oh crap, it's Goldar. This is bad." But then, for season 2 onwards, I thought "Goldar? Ha! He's weak!" Same thing with Rito. They started off having him all powerful, destroying the Thunder Zords, but then they just made him goofy and dysfunctional, like Baboo and Squatt. In fact, first time I saw Elgar in the Turbo movie and saw what he was like, I thought of Rito.
Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed this too?

Goldar and Rito turned into another Bulkie and Skull in season two. As if they need a more comical approch to the way it was done. And season three was worse. For MMPR to many things I did not like.
