I think that it wasn't a good move really. It kind of broke tradition and seemed a little boring.
What do you think?

No, it would have been interesting having them try to keep the aquabase secret.

Are you kidding? A ranger should always keep their identities a secret. Who knows what people would treat them like if they knew. Plus evil has spies all over. Just look at Mystic Force where we find the Leelee was a spy and at first we didn't know it. Besides that was one thing I disliked so much about Lightspeed Rescue. That they didn't keep their idenities a secret. It would have been a whole lot better in my opinion if they did.

Yeah, the public could of tried to blackmail them or something, saying that the rangers hurt them on purpose or something silly like that. (i know they wouldn't put that in a PR series though but who knows.)

i feel that they took a chance with it...and this is one of the seasons that i call "professional rangers" i consiter it that lightspeed, timeforce, wildforce, and SPD are all in this catagory. the fact that everything they did revolved around being a ranger tended to make the story less interesting. Space and lost galaxie kindof falls into this but the fact that they still lived by zordons rules of being a ranger keeps them from it. I was glad that in Dino Thunder they "keep the knowledge of being a ranger to yourself" was back. Even though it was never implyed directly by tommy or hayley. as far as lightspeed i think that the bigest mistake was letting them morph in the first show with everyone running from the monster.

Yeah that just took the focus of the show completely. They would find it very hard to lead a normal life, be a ranger and have thousands of people harassing you evey day. :S :S

I think Public identities was cool, but new plot points should've been tried. For example, since the Ranger's identity was public, it would've been cool if a criminal with a grudge like threatened a family member to a ranger or something. But that maybe a bit too much for PR......lol

I thought it was okay. I mean, it wasn't exactly a wise move to morph in front of public. All sorts of things could happen to them and if I was in their place and was allowed to do it, I wouldn't do it then either. It just doesn't make sense. Anyway, I loved the season and there was a bright part to their identities not being secret - it added to the Lightspeed Rescue. Means that if you noticed, it happened in more than 10 eps (I think) that the Lightspeed Rangers were saving innocent people from fire. Another advantage would be that they wouldn't have to waste time, trying to find a secret corner in a crowded place to morph. So it isn't all that bad after all...
