Recently, I watched all of TF again. I know that canon-wise, Jen was the leader, but how much of a leader was she really? It seems to me like sometimes Jen was the leader, and sometimes Wes was. Wes acted like the leader for all the Megazord fights and a good portion of hand-to-hand fights. And, when the Rangers tell Alex that if Alex is a good leader, he would realize they were strongest with Wes, it appeared as though they thought Wes would be a better leader than Alex.

In the beginning no doubt Jen was the leader, but the red ranger always is the field leader, meaning he will be in the center in battle formations, cannons or in the megazords, but as the series went on, Wes was taking the respect of everyone and improving as a leader and in the episodes you said (Fight against fate and Destiny defeated) they already recognize him as the real leader fo the team and the story is all focused in this fact, they are stronger with Wes as their leader

I still think Jen in the begining a lot but as it went on she would let Wes lead but she would like pull him over and tell him what or if he was doing wrong.
But Jen should have been Red.

Jen all the way. She knew more about the time force plus as pinkranger said was the leader from the first place. And still seems that way. This is one of the rare times besides MMPR that a ranger besides red was in charge.

I agree with BMR and Pinkranger on Both Levels in all Seasons except MMPR The leader was always red Ranger it was a once in a life time Change that a Girl was the leader of the group mean Don't get me wrong all the rangers rocked as Leaders But Jen had the personality and attitude a boss or leader should have even when her finace came back into the picture and she had to leave Wes Behind!

I wanted them to make another Time Force season after that one it was so good and would have been cooler if Jen came back Red, but i did like it at first when she was in charge and she was Pink and she was a kick ass pink ranger as well, but she needed to train Wes before he could go and lead the team but like i said she had to take control somtimes when Wes didnt know what to do or did somthing wrong she told them about it.
Reminds me of that episode at the start where shes showing a fight they had and saying were they all went wrong it was funny she had like a stick and was pointed to there faults and the others where all seating there eating popcorn lol.
I like that bit. i think its the episode where they get the painting job.

Jen was a bad*** in pink who could of named Wes eat out of her hand. Wes like Jen I thought it was a good chance for something. Wild Force Time Force Team up was cool where she wore black. And still kicked butt.

Above all, Time Force was my favorite season.
In my opinion, I think that even though Jen was the real leader, Wes also put his two cents in when needed and showed a bit of a leadership position. But Jen was still the leader, no two ways about it.
I think the crossover could have been done better but I did enjoy it. However, the one thing I hated was the part during the 2nd part when Jen and Wes were sitting by the fire... for heaven's sake! LET THEM KISS!!!! gjhljlajdflja. kk, enough of my ranting.

I like that bit. i think its the episode where they get the painting job. It was Worlds Apart when they did that, it was before trip ran in the room saying they had a job and that it was to pick up garbege. Sorry, I'm kind of a Time Force geek, I know nearly all the eps word perfect for some reason... Anyway, I think of Jen as been the main leader, but Wes was slowly been trained to be the leader and he got a lot better as the season went on. But as some have already said, reinforcements from the future did prove who the leader was when Ransik addressed Jen as the leader and when it was up to her whether she allowed Ransik to help them defete the mut-orgs.
