[Tazz Davis]

Background

Dr. Tommy Oliver, once the world's greatest Power Ranger has now retired as a science teacher at Reefside High after the destruction of his lab, and the disappearence of his partner Anton Mercer. As a mild manered science teacher, he finds himself stuck under the authority of the secretly villainous Principal Randall. When she puts him in charge of detention, he brings Conner: a hotshot soccer player, Ethan: a champion gamer, and Kira: a lone musician along on a fieldtrip to a museum. While the doctor's away, the bickering students fall into an underground lab, where they find the Dino Gems, which give them superhuman abilities. When Dr. Oliver learns that Mesogog, the one responsible for destroying his lab; has returned, he recruits the trio to become Power Rangers to fight against evil. With the power of the Dino Gems on their side, they must awaken robotic dinosaurs called Dinozords, which are a fusion of Dino DNA and technology.

When Mesogog uncovers another Dino Gem, Dr. Oliver must intervene and get a hold of it before it's able to be used for evil. As his students learn about his history as a Power Ranger, Tommy must reignite his past by bonding with new Dino Gem and lead the team as the Black Power Ranger. Tommy fights against the evil Zeltrax, when he discovers that Zeltrax has a score to settle with him. He was once a collegue of his, known as Terrance Smith, but after trying to compete with Tommy for a job, he was fatally wounded in a lab accident. Rebuilt as Zeltrax, he fights for revenge against Dr. Oliver.

Anton Mercer appears in Reefside after Tommy thought he had died in the explosion. Tommy is even more surprised to learn that Trent is his adopted son. But when Trent begins to question his fathers actions, he follows him through an invisiportal, where he finds himself in Mesogog's Island Fortress. After uncovering a Dino Gem tainted by evil, he is overtaken by its power, transforming into the evil White Ranger. Discovering that Anton is Mesogog, Trent joins the ranks of his evil army. But Anton reveals that Mesogog is a result of an experiment gone wrong; a side of himself that he can't control. As Anton fights the spell of Mesogog to save Trent, he accidently destroys the evil of the Dino Gem. As the White Ranger, he joins the other Power Rangers, hoping that his father can find a way to save himself as well.

As the Power Rangers begin to unlock the full potential of their Dino Gems, Tommy and Trent unveil the Shield of Triumph, a legendary power. With the combined power of the five Dino Gems, Conner steps up to accept his destiny by transforming into the Triassic Power Ranger.

In 2006 Serge and Cheetah are successful in recreating Zeltrex and the triptoids. They asign him to destroy all knowledge of the rangers past and present and for him to start in Angel Grove. Hayley, Tommy and Samantha use new technoligy to track the energy sorce that follows the evil clone. Trent calls on help from Dr. Mercer and with the Dino Zords offline the team is forced to use older zords that were never destroyed by evil in Angel Grove, including the legendary Dragon Zord which Tommy is able to activate when Kat gives him a case with the Dragon Dagger and Saba inside.

Characters

Dino Thunder

Dr. Tommy Oliver

The most legendary power ranger from the past. Tommy has seen his share of battle and his share of villains. Starting in 1993 Tommy became the green ranger and when those powers ran out he was given the power of the white tiger. Tommy then went on to become the White ninja ranger followed by the Red Zeo Ranger. After graduating from high school he remained the red ranger only this time shifting into high gear as the Red Turbo ranger. In 2004 Tommy has finish college, become a respected member of the science community, and moved to Reefside. That is when his friend Dr. Mercer fell victim to an experiment gone bad. To combat this he enlist the help of three of his students. He becomes the mentor to the Dino Thunder rangers and when Tommy goes missing they learn of the history of the power rangers. Except for Tazz. Tommy is rescued and is able to recover the black dino gem. He uses its powers to become the Black Dino Ranger and come full circle in his quest of helping the rangers. Now its time to show Tazz and his group of rangers that he can still help even if he is not going to be a ranger himself. Maybe this time he can do what he started to do in 2004.

Tommy finds himself returning to action as the black dino ranger when Zeltrex returns to destroy information about the rangers in Angel Grove. He also is forced to face his past when Kat returns with Tazz from Tasmania. He learns new information about their son Sam and Kat's plans to return to Angel Grove when she finishes her visit with her family in Sydney.

Conner McKnight

was the star of the Reefside High soccer team. When he first became the Red Ranger, he only thinks about himself, but he soon realized the value of being there for others. Conner's Dino Gem gives him the ability of super speed and the Tyrannozord to fight on his side. Conner finds out that even former rangers are not safe from attacks. Ashley and Danielle help him escape from a power hungry Cobra Commander who is wanting knowledge of any powers that may exist to help him in his fight against good. When Tazz is unable to fight against Cobra, Conner steps up to lead the team using his Dino Powers. Conner steps aside in the end to let Tazz finish the job. Tazz thanks Conner for all he did.

Conner is called back into action when Samantha uses new technoligy to track evil energy sorces. Conner leads the Dino Thunder team against the return of Zeltrex.

Ethan James

Ethan is intrigued when he finds his Dino Gem. After realizing what's at stake, he glady becomes the Blue Ranger. Ethan uses the Tricera Armor to protect his skin and increase his stregnth and calls upon the mighty Tricerazord in the fight against evil. As a champion gamer, Ethan loves to play video games and surf the web. So much that he often becomes distracted, but after being zapped into a video game, Tommy reminds him that being a Ranger isn't a game. He learns that he must be prepared for anything.

Ethan used up the remainder of his Dino Gem energy in the final battle against Mesogog. He later goes on to attend classes at Reefside Tech. He however returns to action to help his friends destroy Zeltrex once again as he tries to destroy all knowledge of the power rangers.

Kira Ford

As a lone musician, Kira is best able to express herself in her music. She doesn't want anything to do with the Dino Gems at first, because it's just too weird for her, but when Dr. Oliver recruits her as the Yellow Ranger, she decides to put aside her fears. She uses the Ptera Scream to stop evil in their tracks, and pilots the powerful Pterazord. Kira learns to look beyond people's stereotypes, and realize that despite their flaws, that they can be friends.

Kira used up the remainder of her Dino Gem energy in the final battle against Mesogog. She later moves to New York to try and get a recording contract, but returns to Reefside in 2006 to work with Hayley and fine tune her musical talents. She returns to battle with the other dino rangers when the jedi knights are overwelmed by a crafty monster that uses past monsters to do his dirty work. When Zeltrex returns she agrees to help destroy him once again.

Trent Fernadez

Trent begins to suspect his father Anton Mercer's motives when strange things begin to happen. When Trent finds a Dino Gem posessed by evil, he is transformed into the evil White Ranger. He joins his father Mesogog in the battle against the Power Rangers. His Dino Gem gives him the power to camouflage himself into any environment. He has the power of the Dragozord at his disposal.

After the evil of his Dino Gem is destroyed, Trent joins the other Power Rangers. However, he promises to keep his father's secret as Mesogog, while Anton finds a way to return himself to normal. Trent finds himself battling his past when he must face an evil clone of the White Ranger. There is a power struggle within the Morphing Grid of who will survive as the White Ranger. Trent overcomes his dark past and defeats the evil White Ranger clone once and for all.

When the other Rangers find out that Trent is keeping Anton's secret as Mesogog, they become enraged. He comes clean with them and must prove to them his loyalty to the team. He helps the other Rangers infiltrate the Island Fortress to take down Mesogog. Meanwhile, Trent stands up to Mesogog and rescues his father from his clutches.

Trent used up the remainder of his Dino Gem energy in the final battle against Mesogog. He later goes on to attend art school. Backed by his father Anton Mercer and famous comic book artist Carson Daily, Trent may have a future in drawing comics. In 2006 Trent teams up with the other Dino rangers to assist the jedi knights in destroying Saberfox and his band of misfit monsters. He also convences his father of helping them destroy zeltrex and work on getting the Dino Zords operational.

Hayley

The Jedi Knight Rangers look to Hayley for technical support in the Base. She went to college where she met Tommy, and is a graduate of MIT. In 2004 she designed the Dino Morphers and a great deal of the other weapons; including the Raptor Cycles that the Dino Rangers used. She modifies several of the previous weapons and even redesigns the Raptor Cycles into the Jedi Speeders to aid the Jedi Rangers. Hayley is the only one that knows about the time portal that was used to bring Cayce and Marcus back in time to assist Tazz. She also is one of the few mortals to never morph in assisting a non profession style team of rangers. Hayley also runs the Cyberspace cafe in Reefside, with the assistance of the up and coming pop star Kira and soccer expert Conner. Hayley has never though of herself as one that could change the world, but she sure is good at helping.

Hayley returns to the Dino Rangers when Zeltrex returns to Angel Grove. She hands the rains over to Samantha in the base and hopes to return when the time is right. She also continues to monitor the situation with the zords and the abnormal energy readings.

Dr. Anton Mercer

Anton Mercer was Tommy's parter in his experiments, but after Mesogog destroyed their lab, he disapeared. Alive and well, Anton appeared in Reefside as the father of Trent, who he has taken into his own care after Trent's parents died in a cave in, while they were on an exbidition. Anton Mercer now hides the secret of his alter ego Mesogog, brought about when he was on the verge of a scientific breakthrough. Unfortunately, as it was untested, the experiment went wrong. Anton works desperately to undo what happened to him, but Mesogog finds a way to seperate Anton from himself.

Trent convences him to help the team when Zeltrex returns and using his knowledge he is able to return the Dino Zords power supply to full power and assist the rangers in finalizing two new experimental weapons.

Tommy explains that Hayley, with help from Samantha, has tracked the energy reading of Zeltrex to the ruins of the power chamber. Conner and Kira ask if all five of them should check out the location or if just the three of them can. Tommy explains that he and Trent need to attend to other things to get everything back up and running at full capacity, and they will have to go on their own. Conner nods as Hayley hands each of them a tracking device. She explains that it looks for any reading of evil but it also can look for specific readings as well. They take the devices and thank her before morphing and teleporting to the power chamber. When they arrive at the power chamber they are amazed at the destruction and how there is still heat from the explosion that happened eight years earlier. Ethan tells them that the evil energy is extremely high considering the area served as a temple of good for so long. He recommends that they be ready for anything to happen because with the amount of evil in the area it can.

Back at the Dino Lab, Tommy tells Trent that his father, Dr. Mercer, will be the best one to help them get the Dino Zords back online and complete a couple new weapons that Tazz has supplied them. Trent nods and tells him that he needs to explain his reason for taking time off from art school without any type of warning. Tommy nods and watches Trent teleport to his father’s office. Tommy contacts the others to find out if they had any luck tracking Zeltrex. They tell him that they cannot tell what energy is from Zeltrex and what is residual from the power chamber destruction. Tommy asks if they changed the settings on the hand held device and walked onto the debris. Ethan explains that they have tried both settings but are unable to walk into the center of the energy reading due to the heat from the debris. Tommy acknowledges and sights as he wonders what is going on at the site. He tells them to keep looking and he will contact them when Trent returns. Conner tells him that they should be able to handle anything that happens and for them to find a way to get the three of them over the rubble of the power chamber. Tommy agrees and ends the communications. He walks over to Hayley and asks her to bring up the power chamber and the energy signature overlaid on it. Hayley pulls up the satellite image and uses the hand held devices wireless link to collect the energy reading. She is amazed at the destruction of the power chamber and the extreme amount of evil energy surrounding it. Tommy points out the very center of the debris field and mentions how the intensity is strongest at that point. Hayley nods and suggest that Zeltrex may be hiding in an underground chamber or even a cave under the rubble. The two of them are startled when his cell phone rings. Tommy looks at the number and answers it as he sighs in relief that it is Tazz. He says hello and Tazz tells him that he needs to speak with him. Tommy and Tazz talk for a moment about the search, and that the Dino Zords remain offline. Tazz thanks him for the information and informs him that the true purpose of his call is to invite him to the base to talk to Katherine Hillard, who is waiting for him. Tommy asks how Kat is there and listens as Tazz explains the events of the day. He explains how he used the meditation grounds that Tommy had told him about and how Kat walked up on him. Tommy is quiet as Tazz continues. Tommy finally speaks and tells Tazz that he will be their shortly and to not let Kat return to Australia. Tazz laughs and hangs up the phone. Tommy tells Hayley that he needs to take care of a personal problem in Crystal Bay and will return shortly. He asks her to contact him as soon as Trent arrives or the other rangers need help. She agrees and watches him teleport to Crystal Bay.

Trent meanwhile has entered his father’s office where he finds him on the phone with a client. He waits patently until he finishes and hands up the phone. Dr. Anton Mercer looks up at Trent and asks him why he is not in class. Trent explains that Tommy and Hayley have requested his help with getting the Dino Zords operational again. Anton looks confused at his son and asks why they would need the Dino Zords operational. Trent explains that Tommy and Hayley have been assisting the Jedi Knight Rangers in Crystal Bay. He adds that after the Museum robbery, a large energy reading appeared that was very similar to the energy signature Zeltrex gave off. Anton asks how they got their powers back after the events of 2004. Trent explains how Tazz used his jedi abilities to recharge the dino gems several weeks back in anticipation of needing help. As Trent continues, he watches his father listen to him and really begins to understand why Tommy wanted his help. Anton tells Trent that he will help in any way he can as long as Trent agrees to return to school in the fall. Trent smiles and tells him that he has full intentions on returning. Dr. Mercer smiles and tells Trent that he will help and that he just needs to know how to help. Trent tells him that Hayley or Tommy will call him shortly and inform him of how he can help. Anton nods as Trent contacts Hayley to inform her about what his father said. Hayley confirms the information and tells him that Tommy is in Crystal Bay handling a personal matter and that he is to return to the Dino Lab and help monitor the situation in Angel Grove. Trent agrees and ends communications. He hands his dad Tommy’s address and instructs him that the door will be unlock and to press a small intercom button on the table behind the couch when he arrives. Dr. Mercer agrees to stop by as soon as he gets free from his office.

At the power chamber, Ethan tells the others that he has located a new energy reading headed at them at a rapid rate of speed. Before the others can look up, a large explosion hits directly in front of them sending them flying backwards. Conner and Kira get to their feet first and shake their heads at each other when they see the white and red monster walking towards them. Ethan stands and comments on the large lobster claw on the monster. Conner and Kira draw their Thundermax Lasers and fire at the monster with reparative heavy fire until Ethan hits him with his Thundermax Saber. The monster throws Ethan off him and into Conner and Kira. As the three rangers return to their feet, a group of Triptoids appears and heads towards them. Ethan questions how the Triptoids could return after all of them were defeated. His question goes unanswered as the Triptoids force them to defend themselves. With their knowledge of how to fight the Triptoids, they are able to destroy them with little effort. They regroup and the monster fires a second fireball that hits the rangers. As he walks towards them, he laughs and tells them that Zeltrex will receive his revenge with very little effort. Conner stands and yells for his Tyranno Staff. Ethan and Kira call for their weapons as well and immediately attack. Crabtopus (crab-toe-pus) uses his sword to counter the attack but is unable to block all three rangers at once. Conner takes advantage and strikes him in the back of the knees followed by a shot straight up between the legs. They regroup and combine their weapons to form the Z-Rex Blaster. Crabtopus laughs as he returns to one knee and fires an ice beam that creates a wall of ice between the rangers and him as the blaster fires. The blast rips straight through the wall of ice and hits the monster, but with less force than normal. The monster laughs as he steps from the blast. Conner tells the team he is tired of playing games and call for the Shield of Triumph. Ethan and Kira provide their powers and Conner activates the Triassic Morpher and his Triassic powers. Conner does not hesitate in powering up his Battlizer armor as well. The monster is unsure of what is going on when Conner calls for his fire kick that knocks the monster to the ground. He fires his shoulder cannons and watches the monster explode in a not so impressive fireball.

As Tommy arrives in Crystal Bay, he is hesitant to walk downstairs into the base. He takes a deep breath and then walks us to Kat and struggles to say hello. Kat turns around and smiles at him as if nothing has happened in the past five years. They both start to speak but are silent. Tommy sits down in the chair by the surveillance computers and watches as she sits next to him in the chair she had brought down with her. Kat explains that she was sorry for what happened after they ended their relationship in early 2001. Tommy explains that he also regretted what happened and would do anything to change the events of that year but is unsure if he would be were he was if they would have been different. Tommy asks how Sam is doing and if she has told him about the power rangers or about him. She explains that Sam has grown a lot and has no knowledge of her being a power ranger or knowledge of his father. She adds that unless Tommy wants to be part of his life she does not plan to tell him anything. Tommy nods and asks her why they have not talked in just less than five years, and if she has missed him in that time. She tells him that when he went off to finish college she could not stand by and wait for him to return, even with Sam’s birth. She tells him that she moved back to Sydney for a couple of years to be around family and raise Sam there. Tommy frowns and asks her if she still lived in Sydney, or was back in California. She tells him that she is living in Angel Grove but is currently visiting family. She adds that she will be returning to Angel Grove before the end of the summer to enroll Sam in Angel Grove elementary. He smiles at her and thinks how great it would be to start seeing her again. Tommy snaps to reality when his communicator goes off with Hayley’s call. Kat nods to him and he answers. She listens as Hayley tells him that Trent has returned to the Dino Lab and Anton expects to be there shortly. Tommy asks if there is any word about reactivating the Dino Zords. She tells him that they will have to wait until Anton arrives, but for now he needs to assist the other rangers in Angel Grove with a battle at the power chamber. Tommy confirms, and tells her that he is on his way. He adds for her to have Trent meet him there. As he ends the communication with Hayley, he looks at Kat, who has the wooden case in her lap open. He looks confused until she reminds him that he gave it to her to keep his two daggers safe. He smiles as he remembers that the Dragon Zord is still in Angel Grove Harbor. She tells him that she thought they might come in handy especially with his Dino Zords unavailable. She adds that his team needs him and she will be ok until they talk again. He smiles as he hugs her. He kisses her on the cheek before stepping back and morphing. He teleports to Angel Grove and meets up with Trent and the other rangers as Crabtopus grows to full size.

Tommy tells the other rangers that he has an idea but they will need to locate the Zeo Zord Bay in the mountains to the east. Conner asks what he is going to do about the monster that has just grown. Tommy pulls out the dragon dagger and tells them he will buy them some time with an old friend. The rangers look at each other confused but agree to teleport to the zord bay and reactivate all the Zeo and Super Zeo Zords. Tommy plays the tune on the flute to call the Dragon Zord before telling them to be sure and reactivate the red battle zord as well. Tommy leaps into the Dragon Zord and is amazed at how preserved the cockpit is. He moves around a little in the seat trying to situate his body in the small cockpit. Tommy cuts Crabtopus off before he can get into Angel Grove and punches the monster with a strong right jab. The monster tries to lock up with the Dragon Zord but starts to slide backwards from the brute force of the zord. Tommy fires the rockets located in the fingers of the zords hands and watches as they explode directly in front of him. Crabtopus stumbles back and Tommy whips the zords tail around before releasing a full assault of power on the monster. Just as Conner contacts Tommy to tell him that all the Zeo Zords are online except for the Red Battlezord, Crabtopus explodes in a giant fireball about thirty yards in front of the Dragon Zord. Tommy tells them that this time the Dragon Zord was able to destroy the monster, but it is good that the Zeo Zords are back online. Conner asks if he was able to destroy the monster easily with the zord he used. Tommy tells them that the Dragon Zord is one zord that has never lost a fight. He tells the team that he is on his way to the zord pay and feels that the Dragon Zord will be safer there instead of in the Harbor. When Tommy arrives, he leaps down from the zord and stands in front of the others satisfied at the job they did. Trent tells Tommy that the Zeo Zords will work until his dad can reactivate the dino Zords power cores. Tommy nods and tells them that he now feels that Zeltrex was sent to Angel Grove to destroy information not just cause trouble. He adds that with Angel Grove being the birthplace of the modern ranger it may be a way to destroy all information about the rangers past and present. The team nods and Conner ask how they can get the Red Battlezord active. Tommy smiles and tells him he should be able to handle that. He climbs into the zord as the others watch. He looks around the cockpit until he finds what he is looking for, a small bag with a zeonizer in it. Removing the units from the bag, he smiles and powers down from his black dino ranger. As he puts the zeonizers on the control panel on the Battlezord lights up and he knows that it is operational. He climbs back out of the zord and rejoins the rangers. He hands the zeonizers to the other rangers and tells them that they are what control the Battlezord. They are impressed and joke that he has worn too many colors and been with so many teams that he is the ultimate power ranger. Tommy laughs and tells them to return to the Dino Lab.

When they arrive at the Dino Lab, they find Dr. Mercer and Hayley waiting on them. Hayley explains that she has filled Anton in on all the details of Zeltrex’s return and feels that with his knowledge he may be able to help them in more ways than they originally thought. Tommy thanks him for helping before he excuses himself and returns to Crystal Bay to say goodbye to Kat. Dr. Mercer tells the rangers that the Dino Zords need to have their energy cores recharged or replaced. Conner asks how they can do that inside each zord. Anton explains that he has what they need but the power will only last a short time. Trent asks if the Zeo Zords or Super Zeo Zords could provide power for the Dino Zords. Hayley looks up and tells them that the Zeo Crystal powers those zords and it has unlimited power. Conner suggests that they use it to power their zords. Hayley is hesitant and tells them that they first must find a way to channel the energy into the zords and they must find the Zeo crystal as well. She adds that she will have to consult with Tommy, Jason and another former ranger about that diction first. The rangers nod and teleport home to unwind.

Deep within the ruins of the power chamber, Zeltrex tells two teens of his plans to erase the power rangers from history and the present. The two teens listen as he shows them the monsters that Serge and Cheetah supplied him. They agree to help him destroy the rangers for the simple fact that they like to cause trouble anytime they can. He grins as he has them step into the regeneration chamber and transforms them into large monsters that resemble vampire zombies. The teens are amazed at the transformation and await Zeltrex’s orders to attack Angel Grove. Zeltrex retires into a converted room and ponders his next attack and his ultimate revenge of Tommy for what happened two years earlier. The two teens use a second room to bunk down and wait for Zeltrex to immerge from his chamber.

In Crystal Bay Tommy enters the base and smiles at Kat. He tells her that he is ok and that he will check in on her when she returns to Angel Grove in a few months. She smiles and tells him that she was amazed in how he handled the Dragon Zord after all the time that has passed. He smiles and tells her that once someone is a ranger, that person never forgets how to be a ranger. He hugs her and smiles as Tazz teleports her back to the mediation clearing on Tasmania. Tommy turns to Tazz and thanks him for everything he did to help him and Kat start talking again. Tazz explains that he should not tell Tommy about events of the future but he feels that he must say something about Sam that may influence current events. Tommy looks at him confused. Tazz explains that in addition to Marcus and Cayce being rangers in 2020 three others were. He tells Tommy that each member of that team was the child of a former ranger except for the red ranger who was the child of two former rangers. Tommy looks shocked before saying Sam’s name. Tazz nods and tells him that he feels that Tommy needs to be more active in Sam’s life and maybe he will not have so much anger when he becomes a ranger. Tommy nods and thanks him again. He returns home and ponders what Serpentine, Zeltrex and Crininja have planed for the rangers next.

Due to a major problem with my computer i have not been able to use alot of my programs. one of them includes word which i use to type my episodes. I have fixed this problem and should have new episodes up soon. I am sorry that June has not been a good month for releasing episodes. Expect 3 to 6 episodes in July.

I have recently fell on hard times and have been unable to post new episodes...i have no internet access at home and when i get it back i will be sure to post all the episodes i have writen. Please bare with me on both Jedi and Dino. I entend to make all the episodes i promised avilable to you.
