A sad messageboard story

I found out last summer that it is easy to create a board the hard part is when all those members you work hard to get deside to start boards too. Its great at first but then you realize that its all the same people posting the same things on 10 to 20 boards. When we started illuminatus it was ment to be a way for a group of friends to talk and bring in more friends. It turned into a bandwagon at tfans and then all the people that are in the INH at tfans decided to start making their own boards...after they realized the work involved and how much it hurt traffic on other boards they started merging together. This first created the estate and later illuminatus became the dominate general discussion board of this group of INH run boards. Now while i like the traffic that Illuminatus gets i still feel we could do more if there were not so many others still left from the INH.

Now when i started joining power ranger boards i noticed that advetising was encouraged and i assumed this was more for fan fics and resorce centers involving the power rangers. I quicly discoverd that almost everyone had messageboards of their own with about 20 or 30 members. I feel that what happend at TFans has been going on for a long time on ranger boards...

I know everyone likes being in charge of the board but sometimes you have to know when there are just to many out there.

i shut one board down today that is located on my server that i host for someone else due to no traffic.
